    • TECHNICIAN NOTE AC system has several issues. It was completely empty on Freon, proceeded to charge system up to specs, checked system once again, but still not blowing cold air. Ac compressor was engaging however still no cold air, inspected fans and found that low speed fan was not coming on, tested attempted to command low speed fan on with scanner but fan did not respond. Tested for voltage and found that there was not voltage present, replaced relay with a known good relay, tested AC again, this time fans turned on. Noticed that cold air comes and goes, it does not stay cold for long. Connected gages and checked for operational pressures of compressor, even though compressor is engaging, there is no pressure flowing through, compressor pressures have a hard time raising/lowering. Suspect that AC compressor has failed internally, and possible restriction on AC system. As stated before, have found several issues. Next step would be to replace AC compressor kit (expansion valve, receiver drier), flush out system, AC service. Not able to verify at this point if evaporator inside dash is good at this time. Have to get a good working compressor to test system. RECOMMENDATION AC compressor kit AC flush AC SERVICE COOLING FAN RELAY PRESSURE SWITCH
